Way back in early May we told you about the 3,000-square-foot penthouse at 187 Beacon Street that found a buyer in under a week after being listed sans photos on April 29 for $5,300,000.
The 3-BR, 3.5-BA, with a roof deck and a parking space, not only went rather fast (even by modern Boston standards) it went for rather much.
Unit 3 at 187 Beacon got its full asking of $5.3M. That translates into $1,766.66—or the highest price per square foot paid for a Beacon Street condo in at least the last 12 months, according to listing broker Shelagh Brennan of Cabot & Co. That does, indeed, trump the $1,746 a foot that a certain quarterback and supermodel got for their triplex at 310 Beacon in January 2013.
