WASHINGTON SQUARE — Much beloved New Haven pizzeria Pepe's is expanding to Brookline, taking over the space of The Fireplace. The latter will close after business on December 31, and Pepe's will open next summer.
FENWAY — The Verb Hotel opens today and has announced its promised "big name chef." O Ya's Tim and Nancy Cushman are opening a "high energy izakaya" called Hojoko at the hotel this fall.
FORT POINT — Bastille Kitchen has finally opened on Melcher Street.
BEACON HILL — Tatte Bakery & Cafe, which has a Brookline location and three around Kendall Square in Cambridge, is adding a fifth outpost, this time in Beacon Hill. It will take over the current Cafe Vanille space on Charles Street.
