It's Go Time for Roslindale Square's Parkside on Adams

New, 1 comment

'Tis officially the Era of the Shovel in Boston as more and more development eases into the pipeline or gets under way. Add Parkside on Adams in Roslindale (or New West Roxbury, if you prefer). The redevelopment of the old power substation in Roslindale Square, as well as the nearby site of a former funeral home, into apartments and commercial space has been a long-time a-comin'. Construction got under way last week. The substation itself will be turned into a two-level hub of offices, entertainment and retail, including a restaurant or restaurants. The nearby lot will become 43 studio, 1-BR and 2-BR apartments with 38 parking spaces and a "green" roof deck (and six of the units will be designated affordable). Everything's supposed to wrap up by next summer. Stay tuned.
