We'll get to our official fall preview after the holiday weekend. But here's a taste of one trend we're sure to be following in the next few months (and one you should be following, too, and likely can't escape!). Said taste comes via the recent deal for Unit 2 at 40 Alveston Street in Jamaica Plain. The 3-BR, 2.5-BA with central air, in-unit laundry, private deck and garaged parking went on the sales market in early June for $750,000. Simple enough. The 1,738-square-footer quickly found a buyer (as is the custom in Boston condos) and went to contract. It closed Tuesday... for $30,000 over: $780K. The Boston housing market is officially bonkers right now. Stay tuned.
