The 20-plus-acre estate at 5 Concord Road in Weston just dropped on the sales market for a whopping $24,000,000. That could make it the most expensive listing in the Greater Boston region in at least a decade—more even than the $18,000,000 number at 101 Fernwood Road in Brookline—depending on what your definition of Greater Boston is. We're gonna include Weston. Thus! Five Concord is the most expensive listing in the region in at least a decade. The estate comes complete with 8,992 square feet of living space, including eight bedrooms in a Georgian Colonial that serves as the main house and what the Coldwell Banker listing describes as a "fairy tale" children's cabin in the woods; a wine cellar and tasting room that has space for 4,000-plus bottles (just in case, eh?); formal gardens and an orchard; and, finally, a newly constructed pool house with a great room. Yup, a great room in the pool house. That kind of estate.
Five Concord last traded in September 2000 for $8,990,000. Now it's the biggest listing since a little after then. Stay tuned.
