The house at 99 Irving Street just beyond Harvard Square had a lot going for it when it dropped in late June: six bedrooms; seven bathrooms; 7,025 square feet; two-car garage; pristine yard; skylights; location, location, location. And! It was next-door to the house where Julia Child (and husband Paul) lived for decades until their deaths. Neat. Perhaps even more delicious, 99 Irving spent the entire rest of the summer as the most expensive listing on the entire Cambridge housing market.
The whole shebang was asking $4,750,000 when it debuted in June and continued to ask that all the way through a recent agreement to buy. Stay tuned for the closing. Oh, and save the liver!
