South End's Sepia Asking $1,000-Plus a Foot for Studio

New, 19 comments

Real estate in the South End hasn't been on the cheaper side for 'round about eons now, but things appear to be getting really out of hand of late. First there was that closet asking $15,000. Now we have what could very well be the most expensive studio for sale in the entire City of Boston right now: a 512-square-foot number in the under-construction Sepia Boston, part of the Ink Block mega-project.

The studio wants $540,000 on the nose. Is that too much to ask, even in a building that will be connected to a new Whole Foods?
