Real Fast Over-Ask for Charlestown House Dating from 1837

New, 11 comments

'Tis the Hub phenomenon that keeps on keeping on (not to be confused with other phenomena): the over-ask. Latest case in point: This gorgeously wooden house at 74 Warren Street in Charlestown, which recently closed lightning quick after being listed in mid-July for $999,000. The 3-BR, 2.5-BA, 1,800-square-foot spread includes four original fireplaces from the late 1830s.

Seventy-four Warren closed Tuesday for $1,025,000—or $26,000 over the asking price. That final tag, too, includes more than 2 acres of land.
