BEACON HILL & BEYOND—This week in the "Legends of Todd English" file, the chef was charged with a DWI in New York, and a few days later, the Beacon Hill location of Figs closed again, with a sign on the door stating that it is temporary. (It also closed temporarily just a month ago.) Various reports indicate that furniture seems to be gone now.

SOUTH END—Bread and Salt Hospitality began a six-month (or more) residency at Wink & Nod. In addition to a standard menu throughout the week (and tasting menus of various sizes), there's a fun "night market" theme on Monday nights.
