Above is a photo from developer the Fallon Companies of the ceremonial topping off Friday for 100 Northern Avenue, a 516,000-square-foot office building at Fan Pier.
The 21-acre, nine-block Fan Pier is mostly commercial and retail (it includes Mario Batali's first Boston restaurant, for instance). There is a giant residential component, however: the 14-story, 109-unit condo Twenty Two Liberty. It topped off in 2014. It's one of the few big new condo buildings opening in Boston in 2015, and includes studios that are reportedly asking more than $900,000. What housing crisis?
