Freaky Squid Image Can't Stop One-Week Sale at Pope Building

New, 2 comments

'Tis not news that Boston condos can trade awfully fast. This particular quick trade, though, is newsworthy because of its price tag; and because of the creepy/freaky squid (or octopus) image in one of the listing photos. Neither the tag nor the image prevented Unit 404 at the elegant Albert A. Pope Building in the Back Bay-Bay Village borderlands from going under agreement in under a week. The capacious 2-BR, 2-BA, 1,869-square-foot spread, which comes with a garaged parking space and access to a common roof deck, was asking $1,825,000—or a hefty $976-plus per square foot. Stay tuned for the closing price.
