The five-room, 1,656-square-foot townhouse at 40 Austin Street in Charlestown hit the sales market in early September, bringing with it not only a private roof deck and a master suite spanning the entire third level, but the promise of garage parking for two right there on the ground floor. Such flourishes were apparently in high demand as the 12-year-old house went fairly fast and for a lot over its asking price.
Forty Austin was listed for $949,000. A deal for it closed Monday for $1,050,000. That's a full $101K over after 41 days officially on the market.
