Where to Rent a Hub Apt. This Fall: Cheapest, Priciest Areas

New, 14 comments

Real estate research site Zumper is out with its latest monthly rental report, which includes the Greater Boston market. The data is based on all Zumper-tracked homes either available for rent or vacant in September, so it's a decent snapshot of the rents out there. Not surprisingly, Cambridge's game-change-y Kendall Square is the most expensive area for 1-BRs, with a median of $3,460. Also perhaps not all that stunning: the Chinatown-Leather District locale in downtown Boston was the priciest for 2-BRs, with a median of $4,590. Click on the above chart to enlarge.
