Word came Tuesday over the Twittersphere that Fifty Liberty, the second luxury condo building at Fan Pier on Boston's waterfront, was expected to officially break ground today. Like the development itself, the groundbreaking appears cloaked in mystery.
We really know little about it except the date and time (12:30). Here's what we do know about the project itself: Fifty Liberty is expected to have a similar number of condos as the long-finished 118-unit Twenty Two Liberty. Also, like with its neighbor, developer the Fallon Company plans to go directly to buyers with Fifty Liberty's units and not through buyers' brokers, which might explain the dearth of details.
