Time to grab a bite of restaurant news with Eater Boston.
DOWNTOWN CROSSING—Gordon's Fine Wines & Liquors is expanding from Waltham, Watertown, and Newton to Boston's Downtown Crossing, and the new location, slated to open early this winter, will feature a Moody's Delicatessen counter.
__
FENWAY—The Church space — restaurant and bar on one side, bar and music venue on the other — will become a dual-concept restaurant space courtesy of former Coppa chef de cuisine Meghann Ward. Tapestry, as it will be called, will feature a pop-up-driven restaurant with pizzas, oysters, and more on one side and a "mid-century, Havana-style" restaurant on the other side, complete with a fireplace and "innovative" cocktails.
__
INMAN SQUARE—Playska, a fast-casual, Balkan-inspired sandwich shop from the T.W. Food and Bronwyn team, is now open in the former Rosie's Bakery space in Cambridge's Inman Square.
__
EAST SOMERVILLE—Fat Hen will open inside of La Brasa's former market space in the spring. L'Espalier alum Michael Bergin will serve an Italian-focused menu of "bowls of fresh pasta, braised meats, and locally grown or foraged produce."
