There are few hotter places right now real estate-wise in Greater Boston than the Davis Square area. Prices are high (and getting higher) as the supposed Green Line extension remakes Somerville's reputation as a Cambridge Plan B. Case in point re: this hotness: the brief sales saga of the Mansard Victorian at 65 Dover Street. The 2,020-square-foot, eight-room house with cathedral ceilings, a brick patio, a deck and parking for at least four hit the sales market in late August for $1,175,000. It quickly went to contract amid a bidding war (there are still a few of those here and there), and a deal for 65 Dover closed at the start of October for ... $1,302,000. What'd you think?
