Of Course This West Roxbury Queen Anne Went For a Lot Over

New, 6 comments

It is a seemingly ceaseless feature of the Boston housing market: the over-ask. The latest case in point is this Queen Anne Victorian at 83 Temple Street in Roslindale arch-nemesis West Roxbury. The seven-room, 1,884-square-foot spread with landscaped yard (fire pit included) dropped on the sales market in mid-September for $599,000. It traded quickly and a deal for the house closed on Halloween. Eighty-three Temple went in the end for $650,000—or a full $51K over its asking price.
