Unit 1005-1006 closed in the end for $15,400,000. That is $400K over the asking; and more than enough to belt the one-time record-holder, a Mandarin Oriental penthouse that commanded $13,200,000 in June 2011, from its perch atop the Boston condo price pyramid. The Heritage trade also translates into nearly $3,000 a square foot—not a record, but still rather hefty for Boston. The deal closed Sunday. (And, yes, yes, it is a combined unit; but it was sold as one so it counts.)
