There are exposed beams everywhere except the bathroom in Unit 23 of 881 East First Street in South Boston. Perhaps their near-omnipresence explains the relatively fast sale of the 1,053-square-foot loft with one bedroom and deeded parking. It went up for sale in late August asking $525,000 and a deal for it just closed. Unit 203 in the end went for $540,000—or $15K over its asking. It is the Greater Boston trend that shall never die.
