Two Price-Chops Do the Trick for Dorchester Queen Anne

New, 3 comments

The airy Queen Anne at 43 Kenwood Street in Dorchester's Melville Park area originally dropped in late September for $649,000. The 3,199-square-foot house promised an astounding six bedrooms; two a half bathrooms; a large porch; a one-car garage; a yard; and plenty of period details, including brass fixtures and hardwood dating back more than a century. None of this aided in a fast sale (and the bare-bones kitchen didn't help either, we guesstimate). The price for 43 Kenwood dropped in mid-October to $629,000 and then even further before a sale that closed a few days ago. The house in the end went for a cool $609,000. That's a full $40K off the original asking.
