Six Figures Over for River Street Penthouse in Beacon Hill

The hits just keep on coming in Beacon Hill. On Tuesday, it was a buyer for that gorgeous Colonial townhouse on private West Hill Place. Now it's a closed deal for a penthouse at 22 River Street. Unit 8 is 1,661 square feet and has two bedrooms as well as two bathrooms, never mind exposures on all four sides, an office nook up some stairs and a private deck. Not surprisingly, then, the spread went for significantly above its $1,775,000 asking price. The penthouse in the end traded for $1,876,000—or a full $101,000 over the original tag.
