A Half-Dozen of the Most Creative Boston-Area Space Savers

There are no spaces in our fair region held more sacred than those used to park cars. This invariably starts with shoveling; and then it's followed by that Boston classic, the space saver. Whether it's with a chair, a doll, a bucket of cheese, a couch, a menacing snowman or a bell just daring you—yes, you—to ring it, we can get awfully clever about claiming the slenderest of rectangular earth. Even as the City of Boston prepares to remove its space savers, a new Tumblr is keeping hilarious track of some of the more creative ones.
