CHARLESTOWN—Time already to update our new-hotels map with this 230-room number: "Kavanagh Advisory Group will convert the Chain Forge Building at the Navy Yard into an $85-million limited-service and extended-stay hotel with a 6,000-square-foot restaurant. The 180,000-square-foot hotel will be built within the footprint of the existing building with an additional floor used for guest space." [Banker + Tradesman]

MASS.-WIDE—The Mass. Association of Realtors says that February pending sales mean a busy, busy spring, which is not far-fetched in the least: "Pent-up demand — fewer homes listed, and a surplus of buyers — has altered the pattern. The Realtors' group found pending sales from last month were up 2.6 percent compared to last February." [Herald]
