Dot's 25 Morrissey Has a Name; NYC Mayor's Boston Posse

DORCHESTER—There's apparently a name now for the big-time development at 25 Morrissey Boulevard right next to the JFK/UMass Red Line stop: Hub25. It will have 278 1- and 2-BR rentals as well as plenty of private and public outdoor space. And, yes, that transit access, which may or may not be a godsend. [Curbed Boston; BLDUP]

BEYOND THE HUB—Cambridge-bred Bill de Blasio, mayor of New York City, has just hired Thomas Snyder, a one-time top aide to former Boston Mayor Ray Flynn as his chief of staff. "Snyder joins Police Commissioner Bill Bratton and Deputy Mayor Richard Buery, who both formerly worked in government in Boston, and Director of Intergovernmental Affairs Emma Wolfe, a Massachusetts native and Red Sox fan. De Blasio's first deputy mayor, Anthony Shorris, and Appointments Director Chloe Drew also both spent time in Massachusetts while attending Harvard. Highly suspicious." [NY Mag]
