New, 1 comment

Everybody knows that Boston is years into its biggest building boom since no one know when. Condos, offices, hotels and (especially) apartments are altering the skyline, a veritable sea of spires planting themselves in the streetscape and punching their ways into how generations will see the city. Thanks to RentCafe, we have a pretty good idea of just how pronounced these changes are. Above is a before and after for Downtown Crossing's Millennium Place.

The Clarendon condo was built at 400 Stuart Street in 2009.

The Liberty Mutual office tower at 157 Berkeley Street was finished in 2013.

The 240-unit Radian apartment tower opened in early 2014 at 120 Kingston Street.

Vertex Pharmaceuticals' global headquarters at 50 Northern Avenue and Eleven Fan Pier Boulevard, both finished in 2013, is just a piece of the Fan Pier puzzle.

The 381-unit Kensington rental tower went up in 2013 at 659 Washington Street.

W Boston, that luxury condo-hotel hybrid, opened in 2009 at 110 Stuart Street.

The Atlantic Wharf office building was completed in 2011, along with the Lofts at Atlantic Wharf apartments.

The Wentworth Institute of Technology's seven-story Apartments at 525 Huntington Residence Hall opened in 2014; the taller Tree House Residence Hall at MassArt opened two years before that.

The 45 Province condo opened in 2009.
