How About a Somerville Roof Deck with a Glass Garage Door?

New, 7 comments

First things first: Unit 7 at 40 Howard Street near Davis Square in never-be-the-same-again Somerville is a true loft. That's a difficult enough feat to reach in a region where the term can be sprinkled rather liberally. Second thing: Look at its freakin' rooftop. It includes a full wet bar in an entertainment room-slash-greenhouse; and that entertainment room-slash-greenhouse opens onto a massive private deck; and that opening is through a glass door of the garage-door variety (there's also a more conventional door for access). Finally, the outside portion features a shower if you're into that sort of thing. Otherwise the 2-BR, 1-BA spreading over 1,200 square feet is an airy delight—as a real loft should be. The condo is new to the rental market. Unit 7 is asking $3,800 a month. Well?
