The 9,581-square-foot mansion at 64 Dudley Street in Brookline has been on and off the sales market since April 2011, when it was asking a cool $5,000,000. That amount ballooned all the way to $5.9M before settling last spring at $4,999,000, shortly after the 7-BR, 5.5-BA estate with a swimming pool, a carriage house and a tennis court was featured in the movie American Hustle (it's where Christian Bale meets Amy Adams). A few days ago, the Georgian Revival spread's tag dropped even further. Sixty-four Dudley now wants $4,990,000, $9K off its last asking. Incidentally, it has also switched listing brokerages four times, ending up (as of a few days ago) with Coldwell Banker, which had the listing in 2011. We'll see what happens.
