Finally! A Deal of Sorts for Lonely Burroughs Mansion Duplex

New, 1 comment

The units in the extensively renovated Burroughs Mansion at 54 Burroughs Street in Jamaica Plain dropped last year. Chief among the jaw-dropping listings was the one for Residence 1, a 3,725-square-foot duplex with four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. It also came with two deeded parking spaces and in-building storage. And, heck, the whole shebang looked cleanly ornate, more than enough to justify its $2,195,000 price tag through Campion & Co. A deal for Residence 1 closed Monday after it had been on the market 465 days officially. In the end, it all went for $2,100,000, or $95K off the asking, thereby buck two major trends in Boston real estate right now: super-fast sales and over-asks. Still.
