New Roche Bros. Being Used to Move North End Condo

New, 5 comments

It may not be a one-ton aerial sculpture knotted together 500,000 times, but the Roche Bros. grocery store in Downtown Crossing is something special. Its buzzy grand opening last month proved it. Now the market is already marketing material: The newly listed Unit 401 at 199 State Street on the North End waterfront touts the brick-and-beam wonderland as in "walkable" distance to the Roche Bros. spot in Downtown Crossing. It is barely a half-mile away. The 2-BR, 2-BA, 2,456-square-foot spread wants $2,850,000. Interestingly enough, the Luxury Residential listing notes that the condo has rented for as much as $10,000 a month in the past. Surely it will be able to command a lot more now that it's in close proximity to that exquisite Roche cheese selection.
