This Somerville 3-BR Was Apparently in Really High Demand

The region's housing market may be cooling, but there are still trades like that of Unit 5 at 51 Dimick Street in the Somerville-Cambridge borderlands. The 3-BR, 2-BA with in-unit laundry and a deck off the back dropped about a month ago for $519,000. The 1,142-square-foot spread quickly went to contract and closed June 19 for $621,000—or a full $102,000 over the asking price. Was it the Whole Foods nearby? Or just some of that Somerville magic?
