Let's chow down on some restaurant news with Eater Boston.
SOUTH END—Banyan Bar + Refuge is now open in the former Hamersley's Bistro space, offering up a large menu of Asian-inspired cuisine from the team behind The Gallows, along with Phillip Tang, chef/owner of the now-defunct East by Northeast. Take a look inside.

SOMERVILLE—Tasting Counter has opened inside of Aeronaut Brewing Company's food hub, offering multi-course fine dining for which diners buy tickets in advance. The small, high-end restaurant features, yes, a tasting counter — everyone has a front-row seat as chef/owner Peter Ungar and his team make the magic happen.
JAMAICA PLAIN—The Whisk pop-up team is putting down permanent roots in JP — they've purchased Fazenda Cafe, which they're revamping piece by piece.

DAVIS SQUARE—After a small permitting hiccup, Tenoch is now moving forward with its upcoming Somerville brick-and-mortar location (in the former M3 space). It'll serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it could open as soon as next month.
