New Somerville Townhouse Ups Price Five Figures, Sells

New, 2 comments

Hey, maybe deliberately asking too much will become the new deliberately asking too little. Take Unit 1 at 10 Beech Street in Somerville's Spring Hill neighborhood. It's one of three newly constructed townhouse-style condos and it originally hit the sales market in late April for $799,000. No interior shots yet, just renderings, but we do know some of the specs: 1,588 square feet, three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, finished basement and in-unit laundry. Because this is Somerville, a sale for Unit 1 at 10 Beech was never in doubt.

Pretty much immediately after the condo dropped through SellBoston, the price went up $31,000 to $830,000. That five-figure price-bump did the trick: Unit 1 closed over the weekend for said asking. Only in Greater Boston circa 2015 can raising the price so much ensure a sale.
