'Bout this time two years ago the 5-BR, 4.5-BA Victorian at 32 Bowdoin Street northwest of Harvard was on the rental market asking $12,500. That is not that astronomical a monthly number for the People's Republic and certainly not for an 11-room, 5,000-square-foot spread with ample outdoor space and a pitch-perfect location. Well, it's back on the market now and the tag has gone up. Thirty-two Bowdoin now wants $13,000 a month, a relatively slight uptick of $500 from 2013's asking. It's actually been asking that $13K since mid-June and that total makes it the most expensive rental currently on the Cambridge market—just like two years ago.
