Waiting for Mass. Casinos; Boston College Buying Synagogue

MASS.-WIDE—Craig Lemoult goes ahead and asks: "Nearly four years later, while a slot parlor has arrived, the roulette and blackjack tables that signify Vegas-style gambling are still on the drawing boards. So what's going on? An initial timeline in a 2012 report said the resort casinos should be ready to open, well, right about now. So, how'd that go?" [WGBH]
CHESTNUT HILL—Only about half of its is buildable land, though: "Boston College is in active discussions with Congregation Mishkan Tefila, the oldest conservative synagogue in Boston, to acquire the synagogue's 24-acre campus in Chestnut Hill." [Biz Journal]
