Boston's Second-Priciest Listing: PH in Old Suffolk U. Spot

New, 1 comment

One of the more anticipated residential conversions in Boston is very much under way at 32 Derne Street in Beacon Hill at the site of a former Suffolk University building. It carries the sufficiently patrician name the Whitwell and will have 14 condos over six floors. The more than 6,200-square-foot penthouse is now on the market through Otis & Ahearn's Jeannemarie Conley, and is due to include suitably gobsmacking flourishes such as 12-foot ceilings, a landscaped terrace and 30 floor-to-ceiling windows as well as two parking spaces. As you might expect, this does not come cheap.

The 20-room spread wants a full $13,700,000. That makes the Whitwell's penthouse the second-priciest listing on the Boston market right now, behind only 315 Dartmouth Street. Listing photos and other details as they arrive.
