Port Landing in Kendall; Boston Building-Code Violations

KENDALL SQUARE—It's not really clear what "affordable" means in this case, but a 20-unit development at 131 Harvard Street in Cambridge has gotten the green-light. It's being called "the only 100 percent affordable development" set to break ground in the housing-starved city this year. [Biz Journal]

BOSTON—Yup, Allston Christmas brought with it tons of building-code violations: "Covered are large swaths of Brighton and Allston, with the biggest concentrations in the latter situated around Harvard Avenue. Mission Hill, meanwhile, is bright red, replete with violations." [Daily]
