Fast Sales in Somerville, Cambridge; Suddenly Fun in Boston

BOSTON—It's progress and it only took forever: "On weekends, the T runs until 2 a.m. Sunday liquor sales start at 10 a.m. A casino seems to be coming to town. Thousands of people show up to roller skate and listen to Donna Summer at City Hall Plaza. This certainly isn't the Boston we'd all come to know and tolerate. How in the world did this city get so fun?" [Globe]

SOMERVILLE/CAMBRIDGE—We're not surprised. They also generally go for more than their asking prices: "August data from Redfin shows the cities of Cambridge and Somerville have some of the fastest sales in the Greater Boston area. Homes listed for sale in both cities spend a median of just seven days on the market." [Boston.com]
