A reader yesterday sent the above photo of the under-construction Millennium Tower (and its ginourmously tall crane) to the always-discreet Curbed Boston Tipline. Which got us to thinking of when the tower that might just change Downtown Crossing forever will actually at least start to be done. Seriously, it seems like it's been going up forever. Well, what should also come over the tipline but an invite to a topping-off ceremony for the 690-or-so-foot spire.
Developer Millennium Partners is hosting the invitation-only event Thursday, Sept. 17. Boston Mayor Marty Walsh will be the guest of honor. Below is another shot yesterday of the construction. Zoom!
