Porter Square Victorian Goes for Six Figures Over Asking

New, 3 comments

The 15-room, 5,489-square-foot Mansard Victorian at 30 Arlington Street near Cambridge's Porter Square hit the sales market in late May for $2,385,000. It found a buyer relatively fast and we're not surprised. No. 1, it's Cambridge circa 2015. No. 2, there are quite some features: a 27-foot ceiling in the foyer; a separate 2-BR apartment with its own fireplace and deck; plenty of gardens about; and two skylights in the sunroom. Little surprise then that 30 Arlington went for a lot over that asking price. The whole shebang traded for $2,525,000 in a deal that closed Monday. That is a full $140K over the asking. Why, it might as well be in Malden, eh?
