All About Beer magazine picked the best cities in America for biking to breweries and brewpubs, using data from WalkScore.com (which does bike scores, too) and the Alliance for Biking & Walking. To the surprise of absolutely no one who follows these things, New England was heavily represented among the picks. See the above map.
Why did Cambridge make the beery cut along with other cities such as Eugene, Ore., and Berkeley, Calif.? "Cambridge boasts the highest bike score in the nation and it's home to Cambridge Brewing Co. and a John Harvard's Brewery & Ale House on Harvard Square. Neighboring cities Somerville and Boston are a short ride away." You bet. Full disclosure: We write regularly for All About Beer, but were not involved in the compilation of this list.
