Rare Brattle Street colonial in Cambridge asking nearly $4M

New, 1 comment

It's not that Colonial-style houses are rare, per se, in Cambridge. It's that houses, period, are rarely for sale along the city's exceedingly genteel Brattle Street off Harvard Square.

So imagine our interest on Tuesday when along came the 17-room Colonial at 138 Brattle, newly asking $3,995,000 through Jeannemarie Conley of Compass.

That tag is more than enough to place 138 Brattle among the priciest on Cambridge's market right now, if not for the entire year already. More interesting! The 4,662-square-foot 5-BR, 4.5-BA is the first house for sale along Brattle since 2013, and comes with flourishes such as recently freshly installed central air, parking for five (including two in the garage), and a balcony.

Yes, yes, you say, but what about more photos?
