Everyone knows that the Dudley Square area of Roxbury is changing forever. This 11-room, 2,866-square-foot Victorian rowhouse at 44 Saint James Street is right near the transformative action. The frame-constructed spread with bones in the 1890s comes with two double parlors on the first floor, each with marble mantels, and two queen-sized bedrooms on the second level (not to mention the king-sized master bedroom as well). There's a basement, too, and room for two cars. The whole shebang went up for sale in early October for $719,000. The price came down by $20K right before Thanksgiving, and a deal for 44 Saint James just closed. The rowhouse in the end went for $669,000.
