Let's grab a bite of restaurant news with Eater Boston.
HUB-WIDE—We kicked off 2016 with a monthly Heatmap update and a quarterly Eater 38 update, so here are the hot new spots where you should eat right now, and here are the essential standbys.
CAMBRIDGE—Ten Tables Cambridge closed unexpectedly, with its last service taking place on New Year's Eve. That location was sold to the general manager of the Jamaica Plain location (which remains open under the original ownership).
UNION SQUARE —After five years of focusing solely on multi-course tasting experiences, Journeyman is converting to a more casual restaurant on Mondays through Wednesdays. Plus, the team is doing away with stoves, molecular gastronomy, and sous vide cooking; instead, all cooking will be done on a wood-burning fireplace.
SOUTH END/MILTON—A couple new openings this week: Brendan Pelley's modern Greek pop-up Pelekasis has launched at Wink & Nod, where it'll live for at least six months. And in Milton, Novara (from the Abby Park team) has opened in an old theater.
