Here comes yet another development in Cambridge’s Alewife area: Concord 605 is slated to add 49 apartments and 4,128 square feet of ground-floor retail and community space to Concord Avenue, right across from the Lusitania Field and near Fresh Pond.
Developer Acorn Holdings just filed plans for the complex, which would include 11 studios, 19 1-BRs, 16 2-BRs, and three 3-BRs. There would also be parking for 68 cars and 62 bikes, and touches such as a shared roof deck and indoor common space.
The six-story Concord 605 would not necessarily be that close to the Alewife Red Line stop like some other newer developments in the area. It would be about a 15-minute walk. Still, Cambridge needs all the housing it can get and yesterday. (h/t Bldup.com)
