The majestic 14-room Federal revival at 92 Evans Road in Brookline originally dropped in March for $4,000,000. The price came down a quarter-mill in July and has rested at $3,750,000 ever since.
Care to hazard a guess as to why? The 107-year-old house seems to have a lot going for it, including its size—6,905 square feet with at least seven bedrooms—and flexibility of use (the third floor can be a separate apartment suite or part of the main abode). Touches, too, remain from its early-20th-century construction.
Yet, there it rests on the sales market as 2016 winds down.
