Boston price comparison: What just over $700,000 buys right now

Including in Brighton, Beacon Hill, and the South End

Just north of $700,000 has become an unusually active price point in Boston. What’s that amount buy you right now? Let’s take a look in five different neighborhoods.

In Brighton, Unit 1 at 5 Gem Avenue is on sale for $719,000. It’s a new-construction, townhouse-style condo with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and 1,501 square feet. The condo fee is $479.

Port45 at 45 West Third Street in South Boston is a new development with 108 units total. Unit 321 is a 774-square-foot 1-BR, 1-BA with a private deck. The condo fee is not available yet, but the price is $715,000. It includes one garaged parking space. The complex is expected to open in early 2018.

Unit 1 at 90 Salem Street in the North End is a duplex condo with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is 1,350 square feet and is asking $709,000 following a recent $30,000 price-chop. The condo fee is $425.

Down in the South End, you’ll find Unit 1 at 15 Blackwood Street. It is a 1,132-square-foot, 2-BR, 1-BA condo, and is asking $719,000 after a recent $10,000 price-chop. The condo fee is $350, and the unit comes with a parking space.

Let’s close out in Beacon Hill. Unit 5 at 49 Revere Street is a 2-BR, 1-BA running to 733 square feet and asking $719,000. The condo fee is $444.
