The 10 least expensive homes for sale in Dorchester right now range from $149,900 to $229,000, according to a new analysis of market-rate listings from real estate research site NeighborhoodX. The analysis did not account for listings asking for all cash.
The two most expensive properties are both 726-square-foot condos at 29 Gibson Street (and all 10 of these are condos—houses in Boston’s biggest neighborhood by area tend to go for quite a bit more than your average 1-BR).
The least expensive—and therefore the least expensive in all of Dorchester—is a 633-square-foot 2-BR, 1-BA at 1 Melbourne Street.
As far as price per square foot, the range right now among the neighborhood’s 10 most affordable homes runs from $180 at 21 Ferndale Street to $346 at 22 Branchfield Street (pictured above).
