Micro-hotel chain citizenM to open in West End’s Hub on Causeway

Dutch micro-hotel chain citizenM will open a boutique-y hotel in the under-construction Hub on Causeway development at the West End’s old Boston Garden site.

The approximately 260-room inn will occupy a 10-story building in the development through a lease with developers Delaware North and Boston Properties.

Details are scarce re: citizenM’s Boston location, but the chain in general features pod-like rooms with technological accouterments such as free WiFi and digital control of the TV, window blinds, and thermostat from a single “MoonPad.”

New York hosts the only other citizenM hotel in the U.S.
