The two-family house at 40 Melrose Street in Boston's tiny Bay Village traded in December 2013 for $910,000. It was renovated and fleshed out, with several dozen square feet added and a kind of modern-meets-classic look installed. The address is now on sale as a single-family, with two bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and three outdoors spaces, including a deck off the main bedroom suite. Originally listed in September for $1,875,000, the price on the 1,675-square-foot townhouse has come down considerably. Forty Melrose now wants $1,795,000. Thoughts?
