Somerville Live-Work Loft Comes w/ Three Separate Entrances

New, 7 comments

What's better than one entrance to a snazzy live-work loft in the happening-est city in Greater Boston? Two entrances. What's better than two entrances?

Three, of course. And that is exactly what Unit 113 at 1 Fitchburg Street in Somerville's industrial Brickbottom area boasts. Designed by metal artist David Tonnesen, the 1,853-square-foot spread does have those three ingresses as well as three bedrooms and one bathroom (additional ones are possible, given the plumbing). One of the entrances is the main one; one leads to a shared courtyard; and another to a 340-square-foot studio that could be rented out (or incorporated into the present loft). That studio, too, leads to the building's lobby.

Unit 113 was asking $599,000 as of mid-December and sold earlier this month for $627,000.
